In 2004, Condar set out to create the most authentic fire logs on the market.  Logs that would look great just sitting in your fireplace, even when not in use.   

First, a new formulation of ethanol gel was developed, to ignite gently and burn clean, with a level of realism unmatched by gas fireplaces.  The gel fire’s natural golden dancing flame inspired the name “Flamenco,” in honor of the traditional Spanish dance characterized by its graceful fluid movements.

The bar was set high for the logset design team, who sought to equal the authenticity of the Flamenco Flame.  With the help of new technology in lightweight refractory ceramics, Condar engineers discovered the means to faithfully replicate firewood, complete with bark, gnarled burls, saw and burn details.

Real oak logs were carefully selected to create the molds for 18” and 24” fire logs, an ember bed, and Y-shaped optional branch.  After molds were perfected, the handcrafted refractory logs emerged with precise detail and quality worthy of the Flamenco name.  A profound reproduction of the real thing, the patented Flamenco Logset was born.
